Wild Blackberry (Rubus allegheniensis) produces delicious soft wild blackberries that are nothing like the grocery store variety. The plant has a colony forming habit and will do well in acidic areas and will tolerate some shade and drought. Wild blackberry is of particular value for wildlife, providing an important food source for song birds, game birds and mammals.
