Banana Plant (Musa oriana) 4" pot
Large, oval shaped leaves grow from a thick central stalk. These won't likely produce any banana fruits, but the smooth, delicate, light green foliage provides nice greenery for any room.
Difficulty: Beginner
Light: Bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some direct sunlight or medium light.
Care: Water about once weekly or when the top half of the soil feels dry. If leaves start drooping or turning brown, it needs more water. Can take some overwatering, but ensure roots are not sitting in water to prevent root rot. Likes being misted. Leaves are delicate and can rip easily. Treat gently!
Size: Can grow up to 1.5' wide, with trailing vines as long as you want to keep them. The vines can easily be pruned back.
Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and people.
